For Immediate Release
The Mithila Museum Initiative is thrilled to announce its inaugural exhibition, Living Lines: Contemporary Mithila Art, which will feature the work of over 50 artists working within and beyond the Mithila tradition.
The exhibition, curated by Chief Curator Raj Kumar Mishra, will present paintings, installations, and digital works that demonstrate the extraordinary vitality of Mithila art in the 21st century. Works by established masters and emerging voices will be shown together, revealing the tradition’s deep roots and its dynamic present.
“This exhibition is a statement of purpose,” said Dr. Purnima Singh, Executive Director. “We want to show the world what Mithila art really is — not a relic, but a living tradition practiced by thousands of artists today.”
Details on dates and venue will be announced in the coming months.
